Gaeilge Northwest is a community of Irish speakers, learners, and enthusiasts seeking to build a better regional language community via in-person classes, digital platforms, and community events. Sharing resources and volunteering time, members have organized study groups, book clubs, conversation groups, film screenings, pub socials, and more. With sponsorship from ICSPNW and the Mícheál Ó Domhnaill Branch of Oregon (CCÉ), Gaeilge Northwest also hosts the annual Féile Portland event. This weekend celebration of Irish language learning brings guest instructors to Portland for two full days of language instruction followed by social outings to inspire and bring the language community together. GNW has members as far north at Vancouver, British Columbia, and as far south as the Bay Area in California.
